Mitch – Male Red ACD – 4-5yo, Brisbane, QLD

Mitch is the most AMAZING boy if you just love a dog that will cuddle up to you and you have time to give him all the hugs and kisses he deserves. He’s such a big sook plus he sits EVERY time on command and shakes paws, stays and drops. What more could you ask for in a loyal, loving tail-wagging companion?

Mitch was rescued by AWDRI on Friday June 4th and has been adopted. Read the rest of this entry »

Boots – 331 K6 – Male Border Collie X – Kurri Kurri Pound, NSW

Observation Notes: Boots is back in the house! Yes this is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of meeting boots as he was an inmate of the pound some 6 months ago. Nonetheless Boots is a very friendly & happy boy who always seems to be up for a game. I’d dare say good fences are a must, though, for this boy. Safe with Dog Rescue Newcastle. “Red Dog” – 7 yo Male ACD – Kurri Kurri Pound, NSW

By admin Posted in New South Wales (NSW), PTS :( /

Devastatingly Red Dog and his mate were put to sleep without any warning by the pound.

Observation Notes: Red Dog (yes that’s his name!) is a surrender along with Gus (Impound #: 337 K9) below. His owner was extremely reluctant to surrender both his dogs & was pretty much in tears when he did so. Alas the owner has fallen on hard times, has had to sell his house, move into a flat, thereby having no chance in keeping his boys. Red is very much a happy friendly boy, in the typical happy-go-lucky cattledog fashion, although he is a tad stand-offish & likes a bark or two. Like Gus, even though Red is 7 years old, he doesn’t seem to show it. I hope he gets a home with plenty of TLC as I’m certain he’d reward such a home with plenty of loyalty. Considering both boys have been raised from pups together, it’d be great if both were rehomed together. Read the rest of this entry »
