5 Puppies -Male/Female, Kelpie x – 5 weeks Old – Port Stephen’s Animal Refuge NSW

Dog Details: Observation Notes: These boys & girls are the wild bunch as they’re too busy playing with each other to stand still for more than a second. Needless to say taking their photos was a real challenge and I am lucky to have gotten any at all!    Four of them pretty much look the same, that being tan/black, whilst one of the boys is black. They’re all very cute, cuddly, friendly, & just want to play. Safe with Coastal Paws Rescue. Read the rest of this entry »

Jarrah – Female Kelpie, 2 yo – Brisbane, Qld

By AWDRI_1 Posted in Adopted, AWDRI Dogs, Queensland (QLD) /

This girl is very sweet, she knows sit and loves her tummy being rubbed. Walks ok on lead, when the lead is first put on she lays down, I think she just needs a little more confidence. Friendly with other dogs. Jarrah has been adopted. Read the rest of this entry »

Kenny – Male Kelpie – Gippsland, Vic

By admin Posted in Adopted, AWDRI Dogs, New South Wales (NSW) /

Kenny has now been adopted and is enjoying life with his new family in Gippsland, Victoria. Stay tuned for updates and photos soon!

Update from Kenny’s foster carer: Kenny is a really great dog, he doesn’t bark, shares the food bowl and water dish quite happily with no fear of being hurt. Loves to follow you wherever you go although is still a little unsure of what is going on and starts at sudden movements. He plays nicely with her other dog and has come out of his shell although still somewhat timid. He doesn’t know what to do with toys but with some help and further socialisation he will make a great family dog. Read the rest of this entry »

Sheyly – Female 8mo ACDx – Kurri Kurri Pound, NSW

Safe with Dog Rescue Newcastle.

Observation Notes: Sheyly is a surrender which means to say she is immediately available. She is a friendly girl who loves getting a visitor. She isn’t overly excitable, but does like a bark or two. She wasn’t overly impressed by the camera, yet otherwise she is a playful older puppy. Read the rest of this entry »

“Ronnie” – Male Kelpie 2yo – Port Stephen’s Animal Refuge, NSW

By admin Posted in Adopted, New South Wales (NSW) /

Observation Notes: Ronnie is a working dog failure as he is too happy-go-lucky & just isn’t interested in rounding up cattle or sheep. Instead he’d prefer to snooze on your sofa all day & night long whilst having the occasional game with someone. He is submissive, friendly, & I’d dare say wouldn’t hurt a fly. Adopted! Slick – HCC544 – Male ACDx – Hawkesbury Pound, NSW

HCC544 Slick Cattle type male 12 months

Slick loves his rope toys! We thought he didn’t know how to sit…until we picked up a toy & he was happy to sit for it. He is kind of slinky in the way he moves. He is a sweet boy. A little bit of jumping up, but he was quite gentle about it for his size. He was responsive to correction & food rewards. Happy to be handled & should be easy to train. Freckles – HCC548 – Male BCx – Hawkesbury Pound, NSW

By admin Posted in Adopted, New South Wales (NSW) /

HCC548 Freckles Border Collie male 12 months – Adopted from the pound.

Freckles needed a little time to settle in the run initially. Once he had checked everything out, he was very interested in us and became quite animated, making us chuckle a few times. He has a sore on his back leg that has recently healed (I have pics somewhere). I think he would make a very loyal dog in no time once he found his person. He seems very well looked after & was still looking for his people. Happy to be handled & very affectionate. A very sweet boy smile.gif .
