Update 17/9: Rocco has finally found his forever home thanks to the Pedigree Adoption Drive featuring him in the Sunday Mail.
Rocco is a confident, extremely affectionate & doting young boy who is very typical of his breed- being a dog who is very adoring of his family..especially the children.
Protective of his surroundings- he will bark to alert yet he is certainly not aggressive nor pushy with strangers. He is buoyant and full of energy yet not over the top and he will gladly sit still for a cuddle or at your side while you work in the paddocks..given the chance with the right training he would make a very good working dog for cattle (he is too hard for sheep/goats)
He shows the right drives & is keen to learn just from his short time with his current foster carer on a working property.
In saying this- Rocco would be just as happy with a big backyard and someone to lavish him with attention and partake in daily walks/jogs. He would be very good in obedience competition or agility also as he is reward focused.
Rocco is good with other dogs when properly introduced.
He is ok with cats under supervision but not on his own.
Rocco is obedient, and easy to teach- a pleasure to have around!
Rocco is in boarding at the Acacia Ridge Pet Resort in Willawong, Brisbane, Qld.
Please complete our adoption questionnaire if you would like to meet him.
