Cattle x
This young lady is a cattle dog cross (main breed being cattle). She can be very submisive when you first meet her but once she gets to know you she loves attention and loves to play. She is the same towards other dogs, timid at first but then once comfortable she loves to play. She is not desexed or micro-chipped, however is in good health otherwise. She is around 10 months old. She came into the shelter as a lost pet, but we were unable to find her owners.

Friendly++, quiet, affectionate & playful – a little shy at first but warmed up once out of pen.  Wagged and said hello to the other penned dogs on way out.  Follows his dad around – they get on really well.  Took them both over to meet the goats and neither were interested.  The old boy took a real shine to my partner, Kane, whereas this little fella liked the girly snuggles I was giving him! Good on lead though needs some practice.  Walks ahead or beside on choker lead, doesn’t pull at all.

OVERALL OPINION: A very nice boy that should be easily trained and is affectionate and has a lovely gentle nature. Read the rest of this entry »

I am a 5 year old handsome kelpie looking for a long term relationship with a family, active couple or person.

The successful candidate must be willing to be part of my life and provide me with a nice comfy bed to sleep on either inside or on the veranda.

I am looking for someone to work a farm with or be part of my active life as I am full of energy and need to be mentally challenged. I am a fun loving boy who loves a laugh and will bring a smile to your face with my antics. I know how to sit and stay but do like to sneak onto the bed for a snooze when nobody is looking

Described as friendly, sooky, affectionate, playful and desperate for attention. Came to the pen gate to greet tester; jumps up on you; leans against you; allowed a teeth check and full body handling; he’s a cuddly boy and his health is good. His reaction was good when walked past the other dogs in their pens – he just ignored them. On lead he walks ahead and pulls, requires further training. Overall he’s a nice looking boy, cuddly, friendly and very alert with what’s going on around him – barked and could make a good farm dog. Needs more training. Read the rest of this entry »

Described as very friendly, excitable and affectionate. Ruby came to the pen gate to greet tester; jumps up on you; comes when called; allows teeth check and full body handling; her health is good. She was fine when walked past the other dog cages, walked on by and sniffed. On lead she walked ahead, needs further training with this. Overall Ruby’s a really nice sized dog, attractive girl, very energetic and excitable. She needs some obedience training, not recommended for small children until trained. Ruby is already desexed.

Molly was adopted from the pound

Molly was surrendered as her owners are moving. She is a pure cattle dog. Molly is a friendly happy girl who walks well on the lead and will sit when asked. She seems to get on with the other dogs that she met. She has a quieter type of personality but is still playful. Molly is a bit overweight and would do to go on a diet. Mac has been adopted and gone to join a wonderful family who will care for him for the rest of his days. His siblings now include 2 female Border Collies, 1 male scruffer dog, 2 cats, 3 horses and lots and lots of chooks. Mac is one very happy fellow.

This dignified 10 + year old man is looking for a loving home for his retirement.  Mac  is an elderly Border Collie who needs a secure environment that will allow him to potter around the garden, sleep on a comfy bed inside and most importantly get lots of TLC and hugs. He is a gentle old soul whose tail wags and face lights up when you give him attention.  He is slightly deaf, his vision isn’t what it used to be and his back legs are stiff but he still has plenty to offer a family!  He is wonderful with kids, cats and other dogs (even tolerates his foster familie’s young pup).

Anyone will be blessed to have him join their household!!!
