HCC 1004 Sunshine Border Collie blend female 2 years Listed for Pts Wednesday am.
Sunshine was well mannered and submissive upon entry to her pen. She is feeling daunted by the pound environment though put on a brave face and walked nicely on lead to the run. Sunshine was happy to be handled and is in pretty good condition. Sunshine has no tail (just a tiny peice of unvisable spine) and her bottom sits higher up than normal. There is also a difference between her hips, despite this she is good on her feet and active. (Will get the Vet nurses to give their opinion today) Sunshine knows sit, come and has a gentle mouth, she loves a ball, will retrieve it and bring it back for you. Nice interaction with others in the run. I loved this girl, she is deeply affectionate and leans in as close to you as possible. A sweet, obedient little girl with lots to offer. Nic.
Erin (HP Vet Nurse) has had a look at Sunshines bottom for me. It appears Sunshine has had an injury and surgery re her tail and bottom. Someone has obviously loved this girl. Apart from her bottom being further up than usual, Sunshine is great on her feet and loves to play, she is very people focussed and works hard to please. Nic.

Khmer quite often has his independent moments but has basic obedience and will sit, stay (a little) and shake with both paws. With a little more training he will even give you high ten! He absolutely loves playing ball and tug-of-war, and is the speediest dog you have seen when he sprints and dives for the ball. He is a deft catch in the air too! He likes being around other dogs and loves being part of the pack which will also give him the socialization he needs. He will do well for all people of all ages, provided you give him enough enrichment and stimulation while you are not home, else he will be true to his nature and get up to mischief! Although Khmer gets on well with everyone, he seems more partial towards men but no matter what, will be a true and loyal companion to his master (or mistress) for life!
