Urgent – Due Now! Tasmin is a very young lovely girl, she walked well on lead to the run and was fine walking past all the other dogs even the ones that were barking at her.
At first if you moved to fast at her she was a little startled but after 5 minutes when she got the chance to know us a bit better and relax in the run she was fine. Tasmin is a very

URGENT – Due now. What a nice boy! Ceasar is such a great dog we could have played with him for ages.
He walks ok on lead and has so much energy! He LOVES human interaction and
company and is just a delight to be around. He was fiine walking past all the other
dogs on the way to the run. Ceaser is super friendly!

Urgent – Due Now. Poor Macckie was surrendered yesterday by his owners because they say he needed a bigger backyard. He was getting out of their yard and onto a busy road but they told the pound they had no front fence!!!

URGENT - Due now!  Boot was surrendered by his owners because they bought him as a shepherd x rotti puppy and as it turns out he is a kelpie x so they didnt want him, they also said they were “moving” and couldn’t take him with them. Boot has had no time put into him at all by his previous owners. He is a huge ball of energy that just runs at everything and then jumps all over you. He needs an experinced person that can give him some basic obedience training and then im sure he would be a really nice dog. He is very strong on lead aswell. Boot does love people and cuddles he just needs to learn how to behave himself

Bailey is a gorgeous natured young cattle dog x that we rescued from Gladstone pound with his siblings. He was said to be Koolie x but his siblings all got the Koolie looks while Bailey appears almost all ACD.

Bailey needs a foster home while his mum is going through medical treatment as she hopes to have him back once she is well enough to look after him.

Lovely natured sweet girl, she loves human interaction and checked in very quickly with me. She was good on lead to the run, doesn’t seem to have any issues with other dogs, she was fine walking past them all to the run.
She will sit for treats and was gentle taking them. A very happy bubbly girl very worth of a save!

A very quiet girl who came across as calm & content albeit there’s a sadness in her eyes. Nonetheless she is also friendly. Alas she has some skin rash which is very apparent on her short tail & lower back.

Timmy is a 12 month old Aussie shepherd x toller dog, who is very affectionate and eager to please. He gets on famously with other dogs, and has shown himself to be well-behaved around children and cats. Timmy would fit in perfectly with an active family looking for an all-round great dog who would love to be included in every day family life!

Update 28-05 – Adopted from the pound.

This gorgeous boy is Dyson.  Far too young to be left in the pound,

he needs your help to find his way to safety.  If you can help by giving

him a foster or adoptive home – Please fill in the appropriate form and

send to AWDRI asap.  His time is running out and he will be PTS shortly

unless we can find him a suitable option.

Benji is a Cattle dog of about 5 months old. He was rescued from the Cairns pound as no one came to collect him. He comes across as being a tough little guy, but he really loves cuddles and socialising with other dogs.
