Jacko was reluctantly surrendered because his owner was no longer able to look after him due to work commitments.  Nonetheless he is very friendly & a real sweetheart.

Update 3/12: Safe with Forever Friends Animal Rescue

Animal ID: 55 – Male Heeler X Pup
Age: Approx. 8 weeks
Height: 25cm
Date Found: 25-11-2011
Described as an outgoing and excitable little boy who loves to play. He’s a happy fellow and he enjoyed the company of a 4 year old female child, even barking at her to get him out of his pen to be able to play. He has now been seen by a vet regarding those spots on him and it was ringworm – treatment has been started. He allowed a teeth check and full body handling. He has no training as yet but he learnt to “sit” within 10 minutes. It appears he’s not been on lead before so needs training with this as well. During the “startle test” (umbrella opening) he startled but recovered quickly. He displayed no food aggression. He was in the play area with the other dogs and was really good with them – showed no aggression. He’s now been separated due to the ringworm and all other dogs have been washed and humans scrubbed down. Overall he’s a very sociable little pup who should cope well in a family environment

Described as an outgoing excitable puppy who loves to play with the other dogs. He’s a happy fellow and enjoyed the company of a 4 year old female child because she was little like he is! His health appears to be good and he allowed a teeth check and full body handling. He has no training as yet and also needs lead training. During the “startle test” (umbrella opening) he startled and ran behind the ranger’s legs! He recovered quickly though. He displayed no food aggression. He is in the play area with the other dogs and is really good with them. Shows no aggression. Overall he’s a very sociable little pup who should cope well in a family environment

Update 1/12 – Adopted from pound
Pippie is feeling daunted in the pound environment. Pippie was great on lead, though found the noise difficult to grasp. She continued to do well in the run and her confidence grew. Pippie knows sit and she will shake hands as well. Pippie did well with keeping things simple and working in small areas. She is mostly praise motivated in the pound environment. Happy to be handled all over with relaxed hands and breaking handling up with a walk to relax and gain some confidence in her surroundings. A dear little girl who has the greatest potential.

Update 9/12: Sadly this boy deteriorated in his health and was given his wings in the pound today. RIP darling boy.

Beautiful, gentle middle aged kelpie boy with a very nice nature in need of rescue if not adopted by his due date of 10th Dec.

Update 4/12: This boy was adopted direct from the pound and was flying to his new home in Victoria.

Update 30/11: Jingo will be coming into foster care with AWDRI this week
