322 – 1yo male kelpie x, Queanbeyan Pound ACT
Update 2/2 – Safe with rescue
Due 5/2
This fellow is a friendly, outgoing adolescent who was generally easy to manage. Gives the impression of possibly having been a working dog. Has a chain around his neck, is very dirty (pound were going to give him a bath). He is a young dog with a handsome and unique look about him, white with chocolate markings around tail and leg, lighter brown/tan around hock area. His nose does not have full pigment and would need sunscreen. He is pretty much typical of a young, working breed type – happy, friendly, outgoing and active (though not hyper). A lovely boy who would be easy to train.
URGENT- must have save by 5pm 31/1
This guy is a really nice dog that has a lot of energy and not much training but a lot of potential in the right hands. He needs an active home that will work on his training and socilasation. He is clever and responsive. We felt that he may have some GSD in the mix also.
URGENT – must have save by 5pm 31/1
This little guy was very distracted throughout the test he did show once the treats came out that he has basic obedience training. His legs does not appear to bother him in any way. A great bloke that needs an active home that will continue to teach him good manners.
Urgent – must have save by 5pm 31/1
This boy is young and needs a home that will give him plenty of activity and guidance. He would need a home with older kids as he can be excitable and a little jumpy at times. More temp info below
12mo female kelpie x, Queanbeyan Pound ACT
Due 21/1
A beautiful girl that is in very good condition, lovely shiny coat. Very active and a bit all over the place, running around the handler a bit and checking in, jumping up at times. Easy guided into sit but too wriggly to guide into drop. Appropriate with dog to dog but a little forward.
Very typical kelpie girl, a lovely good natured dog, friendly to everyone but with a high activity level.

Description: The guy is a real dude! He is a funny character and likes to rollover and play dead whenever he thinks you might need a laugh. He has great training and loves cuddles and pats. He does rush in a little when he meets other dogs but is very friendly and appropriate once in there. He would be such a good mate and would really make you laugh.
276 – ‘Bella’ 8mo kelpie x ACD, Queanbeyan Pound ACT
Due 3/1/12
Bella is a pretty girl who is more focussed on people. She has missed out on socialisation with other dogs so will need careful introductions. She doesn’t seem to be coping very well so is quite distracted although did love our attention and pats and was responsive. She’ll need an experienced owner willing to help build her confidence around other dogs and give her plenty of exercise and stimulation.
272 – 9mo male kelpie, Queanbeyan Pound ACT
Update 26/12 – Adopted from pound
Due 1/1/12
Jumped up in a friendly excited way when we entered his outside yard. Very happy to be handled. Easy and soft to guide into sit and drop then rolled over on back.
He was friendly when introduced to the lovely big stripy mastiff x (now with ARF). He was forward with and tried to put his paws on staffy 268 but staffy didn’t react. He didn’t react when introduced to 276 a kelpie x GSD (?) who was unsure so barked at him and tried to nip his nose.
He doesn’t have any training but is responsive and attentive. This is a very good and soft natured boy who has a lot of potential. He has a high activity level so will need a home where he’ll get lots of exercise and stimulation. A very handsome and lovely dog!
