These two little brothers are a hoot. They’ve been nicknamed Bill & Ben and are about 10 months old.

They live together during the day & we just separate them at night for their feeds.  Good with other dogs & absolutely petrified of cats, they are not desexed or microchipped.

Meet GILBERT (Gilly for short) he a roughly 10 month old border collie cross kelpie & a bit of a scared baby but that is because he is finding the pound a bit to noisy for a baby.

He knows basic obedience quite well, he can stay, come, sit & drop for food & is learning to go on the lead in baby steps with reassurance don’t think he has done much on the lead.  He has also learned not to jump by placing your hands across your chest & turning a way.  Cats terrify him & he is very submissive around other dogs he rolls over & wets himself so I think he needs some time to learn how to have fun.

He did panic a bit on the lead going back towards the pen but his handler believes he just didn’t want to go back there.  Our volunteer met him the other day & thought he was gorgeous.

A slow & steady approach will win the race with this one.  He is due out on the 11/2/12 so if we can find a spot for him that will be terrific.

No.323 ‘Charlie’ cattledog x (long in the body) due 5 Feb
Charlie loves water and has a stumpy tail. We haven’t tested him at this point but ranger said he’s not good with other dogs and is stressing and at the pound. He also is climbing the fences. Poor boy.

Someone left a note tied around the dogs neck saying they didnt want this dog anymore as they got
a new puppy and tied him up outside of the pound all night. In the note it says he gets along with kids
and with dogs and is a loving boy. I have checked him out and he is a really nice gentle boy. He looks like
his about 3 year old.

Due 11/2. Good natured dog

URGENT- must have save by 5pm 31/1

This guy is a really nice dog that has a lot of energy and not much training but a lot of potential in the right hands. He needs an active home that will work on his training and socilasation. He is clever and responsive. We felt that he may have some GSD in the mix also.
