Update 5/2: Reggie was rehomed by his owner.

Reggie is full of life.. loves a pat..very fast on his feet when you call him back. Follows kids around the yard but like to be at his master feet. Will tell you about the weather. Not fan of fireworks. Lawn mower not a fan. Good bark on him, will tell you if people or snake is about. You will get to know his different barks but is all show.

Reggie is an urgent private rehoming due to financial hardship and his family are reluctantly surrendering him.

Update 31/01: She is now in foster care in Cairns and will be available to adopt once her vetting is done and we have more of an idea about her temperament.

She has a nice temperament but is a little bit timid.

She did kill 2 chooks on a ladies property however, before we impounded her.

Gorgeous, active boy. Can be jumpy and needs secure fencing

Update 30/01: Dutch is coming into foster care with AWDRI and will be available to adopt once his vetting etc has been attended to. Further temperament information and photos will be posted once we have him in our care.

Gets on with other dogs but is very timid with the possibility that he has been ill treated. He has a very nice nature.

This happy little girl is all smiles when you visit her kennel. She is very affectionate and friendly and is quite a thickset girl. She appears to be around 2 yrs old and a Kelpie cross. She loves a bit of attention and would thrive in a home environment.

She appears to be a little sore around her tummy so may have injured herself whilst roaming – there is also a chance that she could be in pup due to her larger belly and slightly enlarged nipples, but this is simply by a quick observation – it would need to be clarified by a Veterinarian.

Please note that she is a Pounddog on the PTS list, so we are unaware of what she would be like with cats, children or other dogs.

This little guy is looking for someone who can give him a nice big backyard to stretch his legs in. He is approximately 12 months old and is already desexed, he is in very good nick – no bones sticking out on this boy! He is super friendly and just wants someone to play with. Has shown no signs of aggression what-so-ever to Pound staff and volunteers. Please note that he is a pound dog on the PTS list so we are unaware of what he is like with children, other dogs or cats.

Echo is a nice gentle girl and good with dogs, kids and cats. She seems to be going thru a growth spurt. She can jump! But doesnt go over a standard farm sized gate at our place but can jump up and down from verandah to a pen about 4 feet below/up. She is very affectionate. She is approx 6-7 months old

Panda is a happy little fella who is going to make one lucky owner very happy indeed! He’s only new to life so still needs gentle exposure to some things but he seems to take everything in his – albeit small – stride.

He’s friendly and confident with other dogs and has already made many friends at the local dog park however it’s human attention he craves the most. Panda is happiest when in the same room as his two legged companions so would much prefer the opportunity to be an inside dog. While he doesn’t beg for attention, he’s definitely first on the scene when there’s a cuddle going!

Panda seems to have toilet trained himself having no accidents inside to date. However, when taken to a new environment I suspect a little reminder of where to toilet would be helpful. His past history of flea allergy dermatitis would indicate that his new owner would need to be particularly vigilant with flea control.

Overall, he’s a medium energy pup that’ll grow into a medium size dog. He’s also guaranteed to be loyal, smart & will soften the heart of all who meet him!
