Floyd is currently living with two young children, a Jack Russel puppy and his sister – Sunny. He is a happy, goofy boy who desperately wants a family to call his own.
Floyd can be nervous around unfamiliar dogs and people and will need more socialisation to become confident.Floyd needs a home where he has a confident, patient female care giver as he is currently fearful of males, although will warm up to them if they make the effort with him. He very rarely barks, but will warn you of strangers around.
Being part Labrador, Floyd LOVES his food, which makes him easy to train. He currently sits on command and comes when called but is very smart and I have no doubt that he can be taught many more things.
Floyd is a big boy, with huge feet and he bounds around happily everywhere. He is not hugely experienced on the leash but is quite willing to learn, although he does get slightly scared of strange noises. He has one major quirky habit – he loves to dig!. He digs a bit, turns around to chase the dirt that he has flicked up, then turns around and digs again, wagging his tail happily the whole time. He won’t chase a ball but if you throw dirt around he will chase it all over the yard.
Floyd will happily sit in your lap, providing you don’t mind squashed legs, for hours and he loves being around people. He will reward his family with plenty of love, licks and laughter.
