Milo – 8 yr old *BLIND* male ACDx (and his JRT sister Bella) – Victoria

Milo has a sad story. His owner, who loved him and Bella very much, due to medical issues could no longer care for them. Milo is blind and as you can see from the lovely photo of him and Bella, he relies on her to help him out. Both dogs are friendly happy and easy going. They are good with children and other easy going dogs. They are looking for a home they can call their own. Can you help? Their adoption fee ($400) is for both dogs together as a matched set (they are even colour coordinated!)

To meet or adopt please fill out our adoption form. Please note that completing the application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.

Hussie – 11 year old pure bred blue female ACD – Melbourne, Vic

Hussie is 11 years old and was bred through Margaret Wyatt.  She spent the first few years of her puppy life with another couple of female blue heelers and a cat.  She was de-sexed at around 18 / 24 months and never mated or bred.  Hussie has had her C5 shots regularly, as well as worming and check ups and has also been microchipped.

She is a great companion and loves the company of her closest pack members.  As with most Blue Heeler bitches, she prefers the company of male dogs – preferably large ones :)

She’s very playful, loves a walk and naturally the ball is everything.  She’s also been through puppy school and well versed in all the usual commands.  Hussie wins the hearts of all those who she gets to know and loves a cuddle, tummy rub and and a general chat.

If you are wanting to find out more about Hussie or meet her with a view to adoption please complete our adoption questionnaire: http://www.workingdogrescue.com.au/application-forms/apply-to-adopt-from-awdri/

Red – male 2 year old red ACD – Hoppers Crossing, Vic (Private Rehoming)

Red has recently moved to suburbia and his family are finding that they cannot meet his needs for exercise and mental stimulation. He is a heeler by breed and nature and is a bit mouthy but he is still young and will grow out of this with consistent training and a firm owner. Red is a lovable boy but would do best in a family without young children due to his mouthing habit.

More temperament information to come.

Please complete our adoption questionnaire if you would like to give Red a new home.

Molly – Female Kelpie. 6 yo. Churchill, Vic

She is a very friendly, talkative, energetic lovely girl. She gets along with other dogs and cats. She loves to play with anything like sticks, balls, even scrunched up paper. She loves to be with people and is perfectly toilet trained. She is not the sort of dog that you can just shove in a backyard and leave her whole life. She needs to be involved with family activities. She loves riding in the car, going to the park and adores long walks. She is good off-leash also and will not run away. She is fine with children although a little boisterous with small toddlers etc. She also has a slight claw clipping phobia, although we have not worried as she wears them down naturally. She is the perfect dog for an active home.
